Getting Hooked on Oblivion Remastered – My Alchemy Adventure Begins

Lately, I’ve been diving headfirst into The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and honestly? I’m completely hooked.

As someone who spends a lot of time in Azeroth healing dungeons as a resto druid in WoW Classic Cataclysm, Oblivion has been a refreshing escape — chaotic in the best way, filled with quirky NPCs, nostalgic graphics (with a glow-up), and endless opportunities to mess around in Tamriel. But my favorite part so far?

Becoming a potion-making, money-stacking alchemy queen.

No joke, I’ve been grinding herbs like it’s my job. Every time I venture out of a city, I’m zig-zagging through the wilderness picking mushrooms, flowers, and whatever else I can find. If it glows, grows, or looks vaguely suspicious — it’s in my inventory.

There’s something super satisfying about finding rare ingredients, heading back to my mortar and pestle setup, and crafting potions that turn into gold at the nearest shop. I started out broke and wandering around in ragged robes, and now I’m rolling in septims and rocking enchanted gear like I own the Arcane University.

Sure, the Oblivion Remaster still has its fair share of classic jank — guards with spider-senses, people yelling “STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM,” and that weird potato face lighting — but that’s part of the charm. And with all the improvements to textures, lighting, and performance, it feels like revisiting a beloved classic with a fresh coat of paint.

If you’ve ever played Oblivion before and want to relive the magic — or if you’ve never played it at all — now’s the perfect time to jump in and get lost in the chaos. Just don’t blame me when you spend three hours harvesting plants instead of doing the main quest.

Catch me streaming it soon on Twitch.tv – feel free to stop by and chat! If you’ve got any potion recipes, gold farming tips, or just want to laugh at my Khajiit getting stuck in a well, I’m here for it.
